Driveshaft pump seals are rotary lip seals and are often the first component to wear out in the pump. They sometimes have single or double lips and sometimes fitted in pairs.  Often these can be changed without stripping the pump completely as a cost effective leak repair. Nitrile and Viton materials are used depending on the operating temperature and fuels used.
